Zoe Ellenberg: The Artist

Zoe Ellenberg was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1973. Raised in a family of artists she was influenced by a diversity of style, thought and philosophy.  After graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts  (University of Melbourne) Zoe has spent most of her time working on paintings and sculpture.  She has had numerous exhibitions in Australia.

In 1997 Zoe went to Bali, Indonesia, and spent six months painting and sculpting amid the beautiful Balinese culture, landscape and people. Since then she has returned twice to further cultivate her ideas and techniques.

Landscapes have always been a dominant subject matter for Zoe.  From her own garden oasis in Elwood, to the tropical palettes of Indonesia and the Pacific, to the more subdued European expansion, the beauty of nature is always present in the work of Zoe Ellenberg.

Large in scale, her works are a colourful blasting vision with splashes of watercolour and morphing of mixed media combined with sweeping arcs of black enamel. Zoe also creates a select range of
figurative bronze sculptures.
